The parents of the founder, Marian Schulz & Delmar Maier—in Latin Marian is Stella Maris (the Star of the Sea), the ancient navigator’s North Star, while Delmar is quite literally “Of the Sea.” This House exists to honor their love and the values they set in motion.

Delmar & Marian

Before there was a House, there was ground held steady by two people who never sought recognition, yet built what endures. Delmar and Marian—not figures of history, but a living standard. Their presence did not demand attention. It shaped it, as water shapes stone.

THE NAME

DEL-MAR is drawn from two lives joined in quiet strength.

Delmar — of the sea. A name defined by depth and the unseen force that carries weight without display. The deep ocean does not ask to be understood. It endures.

Marian — of the sea. A name tied to devotion and the steady, guiding pull that holds life together. Like the tide, it returns, shaping all it touches. Star of the sea—constant, guiding, present even when unseen.

Together, they are the balance. Depth and grace. Strength and devotion. The sea in two expressions—vast, constant, unshaken.

WHAT WAS BUILT

Value is rarely spoken. Meaning is rarely displayed. What exists here was formed through consistency—showing up when it mattered and holding a line that did not move when it would have been easier to drift.

This foundation was not created in a moment. Like reef and coastline, it was formed over time—steady, inevitable, enduring beyond sight.

THE STANDARD

The House does not begin with product. It begins with example.

With hands that worked without announcement.

With decisions made without applause.

With the belief that what is carried forward matters more than what is claimed in the moment.

That standard remains. It moves quietly. It does not weaken. It is the steady beat of waves upon shore.

Continuity

Nothing here stands alone. What was started continues—not as repetition, but as refinement. Each generation does not replace what came before; it strengthens it.

Like the tide, it carries forward what matters and discards the rest. The ocean is never still, yet it remains itself.

DEL-MAR is not a tribute. It is a presence.
